Lynda Sherman found her lifelong passion of dentistry purely by chance. After signing for a package delivered by UPS intended for her new neighbor, a dentist, she changed her focus from Broadcast Journalism to Dentistry.

She attended The Ohio State University’s Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) program and has been

practicing dentistry for over 25 years. Lynda has become more than a clinician. She has supported both the administrative and clinical aspects of the dental practice in order to increase production and encourage patient retention. Lynda is known for her ability to implement systems, build teamwork, and prioritize patient relations. She has also developed and executed marketing strategies for local school and community involvement. Social media engagement and logo design are also on her resume’.

A passionate clinician, Lynda supports childhood preventative dentistry through her tax exempt non-profit organization, The Dental Oral Care Project. After working in pediatrics, Lynda quickly became concerned that tooth decay is 100% preventable, yet is still a leading cause of illness in children. Tired of watching children suffer from dental decay, she is setting out to advocate for a dental disease-free lifestyle…starting at birth.

It does not stop there. Though Lynda could talk all day about pediatric dentistry, she also has a love for this planet. She has recently combined her two passions and developed an eco-friendly dental consulting business. Recognizing that dentistry is causing a cavity on Earth, Lynda has redesigned the dental office for sustainability.

As a speaker and consultant on the topics of preventative and sustainable dentistry, Lynda has been developing her skills at events such as Morado ASC, Jumpstart, Front Office Rocks, Delivering WOW, and Dentistry’s Got Talent.
